Antwerp –September 20, HB Antwerp arrives today in New York City with the 1,175 carat diamond which was recovered in June by Lucara Diamond Corp. at the Karowe Mine in Botswana. The stone, which is the third largest diamond ever found, will be the largest uncut diamond in history to come to the U.S.

HB Antwerp will use the trip to broaden its engagement with American consumers and to hold a series of meetings with New York-based partners. The company is being represented by Oded Mansori, CEO, and Rafael Papismedov, Managing Partner and Strategic Director.

“HB Antwerp is delighted to make history by bringing this exceptional stone to New York. We are excited to introduce U.S. audiences to our transformative business model, and we look forward to increasing HB Antwerp’s visibility in this important market,” said Oded Mansori.

Founded last year, HB Antwerp is already turning the diamond industry inside out – with its unprecedented levels of transparency and sustainability, cutting-edge use of blockchain technology and closed-loop supply chain. HB Antwerp is working to provide a new level of stability to the pricing structure of diamonds and bring greater clarity to the diamond business. The acquisition of the 1,175 carat stone and its journey to New York is just one of the many initiatives the company has launched since its inception.

HB Antwerp is available to further discuss the 1,175 carat stone and the New York trip upon request.
