HB’s R&D entity is fully committed to the development of technology and robotics so that manufacturing in Antwerp can run as efficiently as possible. To establish further growth, we are looking for a mechanical engineer.

Job description:

• Your research and development will be targeted at one specific mechanical topic
• You will work towards a functional prototype in collaboration with the electronics and ICT department
• You will work out the design in detail and prepare an official production file
• You follow up on orders and build prototypes accordingly
• You review where improvements can be made and implement these
• Elaborate testing of prototypes and execution of testing

Jobrelated skills: 

• You do not need any knowledge of diamonds
• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor (or comparable CAD software) and the design of smaller mechanics are a plus

Personal skills:

• You work in a creative and problem-solving way
• You’re a team player but also capable of working independently on side projects
• Very good knowledge of Dutch/English
